22Miles hit Las Vegas last week for our second annual InfoComm and the event was a true success. Our team met with end-users, system integrators, and industry professionals to offer tailored solutions, deepen our understanding of customer pain points, and strengthen our technology partnerships. With two more awards under our belt, 22Miles continues to ground itself as an innovation leader in the digital signage, wayfinding, and AI industry.
22Miles is no stranger to the Las Vegas Convention Center, with our wayfinding and digital signage software running on all of the venue’s screens, we felt right at home. Even more than just the convention center’s kiosks, our software lit up screens at many of our hardware partner’s booths, as well, including Sony, Peerless-AV, Bluefin, Mimo, Crestron, Neat, and Lenevo.
Throughout the event, our booth was a hub of activity and excitement. We showcased our latest advancements in interactive digital signage, highlighting new features that enhance user engagement and streamline navigation.
22Miles Wins Two Awards
22Miles started the week strong on Tuesday winning the SCN Most Digital Signage Award for our AI solutions. On Thursday, we continued the winning streak with the Digital Signage Magazine 2024 Best of Show Award in the Digital Signage category for our offline AI products, as well.
Digital Signage Magazine’s awards editorial team says, “The InfoComm awards are one of our largest throughout the year where we see some of the most innovative Pro AV products and solutions on the market – and this year did not disappoint.”
22Miles is proud to be recognized for our continuous innovation and product design with these two awards and we look forward to future enhancements that push the boundaries of the digital signage industry.
A Look at Our Booth
This year our marketing team worked closely with our product delivery team to create a stunning 10×20 booth. Our hardware partners provided displays, tablets, media players, kiosks, and mounting brackets to bring the booth together with unified solutions in action.
“It’s incredible to me that every year, for any size booth, the effort it takes to pull it off is no small feat,” said 22Miles Marketing Director, Thuy LeDinh, “However, it’s completely worthwhile to see the faces and smiles of our partners and customers.”
Our Panel: Getting the Most from Your Digital Signage CMS and Learning from Higher Ed End-Users
22Miles Chief Revenue Office, Tomer Mann joined Matt DuBois, Senior Partner Account Executive of BrightSign, Chrissy Sara, Senior Post Sales Support Engineer of Sony, and Rob Viers, Director of Classroom AV Services at Virginia Tech on the Getting the Most from Your Digital Signage CMS panel hosted by Tim Albright, President of AVNation.
The panel explored best practices for leveraging a CMS to automate content updates, improve overall facility operations, assess communication strategy efficacy, scale messaging reach, and engage diverse audiences.
“Your CMS is a playground and you need a provider who is a champion of that playground,” said Rob Viers who has seen great success with 22Miles digital signage CMS at Virginia Tech. Viers has become the “owner” of digital signage on his college campus, working alongside 22Miles and his school to unite department siloes and create engaging and useful digital signage content for students, professors, and potential students.
The struggle to unite department siloes and maintain fresh content was a common concern expressed by higher education attendees when the panel was opened up for questions. Tomer Mann pointed to the power of API connections to address these concerns, “Making sure displays are dynamic and showcasing live information is the foundation of a strong CMS solution. Integrating APIs and 3rd party feeds like class schedules, social media feeds, weather, and news keeps the visual communication relevant and automated so your content stays consistent, effective, and optimized with the day-to-day communications, all under one unified platform.”
Higher education attendees also voiced concerns about how to get buy-in from decision-makers, another common struggle for digital signage “owners” in the industry. To this, the panelists addressed the power of robust analytics and tracking the ROI of your digital signage, proving the tangible value of your content to arbiters who own the budget. More than that, as campus safety is an ever-growing concern for college campuses, Tomer Mann urged the importance of emergency alerts and screen overwrites to notify students and faculty in real time in the case of an emergency.
Overall the feedback from the panel was great as many end-users left empowered with insights and tools to get the most out of their CMS and providers and system integrators listened to end-users voice their struggles so we can continue to create solutions that better address their pain points.
Connecting with Hardware Partners, System Integrators, and End-Users
“InfoComm is always a great opportunity to meet up with our system integrator and hardware vendor partners, old and new,” says 22Miles Sales Rep, Richard Towner, who owns the West Coast region. “This year we also had several end-user clients and prospects from the West Coast stop by our booth to meet the team and experience our latest and greatest. From Washington state to California to Arizona, and of course, Nevada, covering industries such as Higher Education, Healthcare, State and Local Government, Transportation, and more.”
“At this year’s InfoComm, we showed our tech partners and system integrators that 22Miles is more than just digital signage and wayfinding. Many end-users and SI’s expressed concerns for a CMS’s scalability. Our team had great success in demoing 22Miles’ future-proof and hardware-agnostic platform for all of the various verticals,” said 22Miles Sales Rep, Scott Banks.
Our team provided demos to potential customers, showed off new features to current customers, gave tips to system integrators, and collaborated with our technology alliance partners. These interactions allowed us to gather invaluable feedback, understand specific industry challenges, and discuss how our solutions can be tailored to address them.
The feedback and enthusiasm we received at InfoComm was truly inspiring. As we continue to innovate and expand our offerings, we remain committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of our diverse client base.
